No access to Sage or QuickBooks

We understand that some practices don't have access to Sage or QuickBooks in order to run our extraction software. Just start a new conversion like normal but once you reach the Upload Data stage in our conversion process, we can complete this step for you. Remember to make a note of the Security Code from the Upload Data page before clicking the link to return to this page.

What we need

We're going to need the following from you:

  • Your Sage or QuickBooks backup file
  • The admin username and password for the file
  • The security code from the Upload Data page in Movemybooks

If your backup file is around 10MB or less you can email it to us (support@movemybooks.co.uk). For larger files we recommend you send us the file and details using Mailbigfile. If you'd prefer to use another service eg. OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox etc. you're welcome to. 

Note that if you plan on sending us files for multiple jobs, we'll also need the name of the job that corresponds to the name of each file. We don't want to extract and upload the wrong file or the conversion won't work!

How long will it take?

We don't honestly know. Your request will join the queue which is processed on a first come first served basis.

Depending on the size of the file and the queue, and also the volume of data, it could take anywhere between a few minutes and up to around 8 hours.

We'll email you once the process completes but please try not to contact us without allowing at least 24 hours.

Once the process completes, you can log back into Movemybooks and you'll be able to progress past the Upload Data page.
